The Granfondo Scott has its start and finish lines in Piacenza and passes through the rolling valleys of Piacenza before confronting the Appenninian peaks of the Emilia region.

The race departs from Piacenza Expo and heads toward Val Trebbia.  Through the village of Gossolengo, the route proceeds on to the Tuna bridge, which crosses the River Trebbia, and continues to Rivalta, Gazzola, and Agazzano Piozzano.

From the village of St. Gabriele stay to the left and ascend towards Groppo Arcelli, the climb is gradual but with some tears even 14%. The course continues along the breathtaking panoramic road leading to Caldarola Pass, the peak of the course.

Reaching the crossing, continue the descent toward Val Trebbia. From here you ascend towards Santa Barbara Pass, at which point you will begin the final descent back to Piacenza.

In addition to the long route of 158 km, there is also the option to take the medium route of 130 km and a shorter route of 75 km.
