The Granfondo Strade Bianche<\/strong> retraces the roads of the in line race by professional cyclists that takes place in March in the province of Siena. The race, known as the “the most Southern Northern Classic in Europe”, features a route that crosses “strade bianche” or “white roads”, the typical dirt roads found in the Tuscan countryside and the hills of Siena. It also includes many demanding “walls”, in other words short sections of track with a steep slope. This characteristic is also found in the route reserved for amateurs. The professional race in the last few years has started from various places, from Gaiole in Chianti, to San Gimignano, to arrive in\u00a0 Siena in the last editions.<\/p>\n The Granfondo Terre Bianche will unfold along two different routes, both with a start and finish in Siena.\u00a0 The first route, the longer, follows the track of the Elite Women race, with a length of 140 km, of which 32 km is dirt roads. The second route, the shorter one, offers a length of 86.6 km with dirt roads amounting to over 21km. The two routes coincide up to the town of Murlo, and then the shorter path turns to the right with a dirt section up to Monterroni d’Arbia. The final kilometers join up for both races.<\/p>\n In the last edition the race counted 5000 competitors for this spectacular Granfondo among the Crete Senesi; there were over 1000 foreign amateur cyclists coming from more than 40 different countries. Il primo percorso, pi\u00f9 lungo, segue il tracciato della gara Woman Elite, lungo quasi 140km di cui quasi 32km di sterrato. Il secondo percorso, pi\u00f9 breve, prevede una lunghezza di 86.6km con uno sterrato di oltre 21km. i due percorsi coincidono sino alla localit\u00e0 di Murlo, poi il percorso corto vira verso destra con una parte di sterrato ed una discesa sino a Monterroni d'Arbia. I km finali coincidono per entrambe le gare.<\/p> Nelle scorse edizioni la gara ha contato quasi 5000 iscritti, per questa spettacolare Granfondo fra le Crete Senesi, oltre 1000 i ciclisti amatoriali stranieri provenienti da oltre 40 nazioni differenti.
